Visit Britain have approached Betapond to develop a Facebook application that will allow users in the UK to invite their friends and relations to the UK and allow international users to respond to an open invite from Love UK stating why they want to visit. The core concept of the app was to grow fans, engage existing UK fans in promoting Britain as a holiday destination to their community on Facebook and engage non UK fans to get involved in inviting through off Facebook channels e.g. traditional media.

The app was used to promote 10 great reasons to visit the UK by a competition mechanic with a prize of a Samsung Galaxy tablet and 2 flights to the UK for the winners friends and family. The app prompted users to become fans, once they have done this they are asked to invite friends or family to a location in the UK. Once they have done this then they are asked to personalise their invite for friends and family to visit the UK by choosing one of ten top destinations in the UK to visit. Once they are happy with the invite, they are then asked to send the invite to their friends and family. Each creation is entered into the competition.
