We developed a Facebook application for Hotels.com that will allow users to enter a sweepstake to win suites at 16 luxury hotels around the world, 3 every week. The app was to encourage sharing with friends. The application featured the bespoke “Where’s Matt video” as the creative vehicle for featuring prizes in the sweepstakes.

 

The app was designed and create to entice user to become fans of Hotels.com in the UK, Germany, Canada, Denmark, France, New Zealand, Portugal and the US. There was one app design which was fully localized to allow the app to be dropped onto each of these fan pages, importing the correct languages.

 

Hotels.com wanted the application to be competition based, so it’s job was to allow users to become fan, create entries by choosing their suite in any hotels.com hotel and adding 3 of their friends to the suite. Once the entry was created they were entered into a competition to win a holiday in Dubai, Italy or the Philippines for that user and each of their friends.

 

Objectives:
• Build Fanbase – Reach 75k collective likes
• Build anticipation surrounding Matt’s next video with Hotels.com
• Maximise the number of views of the Youtube video within the app
